Dr Maria Milone completed her medical degree at Melbourne University, being awarded her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS) with honours in 1991.
In 1993 she completed her Diploma of Obstetrics at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne . This has enabled Dr Milone to participate in shared care of antenatal patients through their pregnancies in collaboration with public obstetric hospitals.
In 1995 she was awarded her fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, recognising her training as a specialist GP.
Her medical practice is divided over the disciplines of General Practice and Cosmetic medicine, optimising a holistic approach to the care of every patient.
In 2016 Dr Maria Milone was awarded her fellowship to the CPCA | The Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia in recognition of the highest standard of practice in the medical cosmetic field to date in Australia. Dr Milone has been practising in the field of cosmetic medicine since 2002 under the guidance of leading dermatologist Dr Michael Rich. Over the years, she has enjoyed training new doctors in the field and sharing knowledge with visiting international doctors. Dr Milone attends conferences and workshops in Australia and overseas to keep abreast of the latest products, techniques and technologies.
From 2017 to 2019, Dr Milone worked with plastic surgeon Dr Howard Webster and one of the pioneers in the field of aesthetic medical training, Dr Vilma Di Maria at Dr Face in Melbourne CBD.This was a wonderful opportunity to incorporate an advanced level of understanding of the surgical side to aesthetic medicine and how it compares and complements the medical side of aesthetic treatments.
It is with over 20 years of experience in medical and medical aesthetic practice that Dr Milone enjoys the ability to tailor a bespoke treatment plan for every unique patient. Working alongside a team of doctors and cosmetic clinicians,Dr Milone is not limited in her appraisal of her patients for a comprehensive plan of treatment.
