What happens during a laser resurfacing treatment?Overview of laser resurfacing treatments

Anaesthesia for the laser resurfacing treatment will depend on the energy and handpieces used for treatment. If needed, anaesthesia will be applied for 30 minutes pre-procedure.

The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and goggles will be provided to the patient and laser practitioner to protect eyes from the laser light.

The treated areas will be given a cooling gel immediately after treatment to reduce patient discomfort.
