The China Doll Facial (or Carbon Peel Facial) is a non-invasive laser facial treatment using our state-of-the-art picosecond laser, the Picocare 450, combined with a mask of medical-grade carbon serum. The serum acts like a target intensifier for the laser to destroy debris and the top layer of dull, dry skin, refreshing your complexion immediately with no downtime. Performed by one of our nursing team, this is a great addition to your regular skin regime or a quick pep up for that special event.
The overall treatment is still a laser treatment – with ENRICH it’s the picosecond laser, unique to China Doll laser facials in Australia – and the carbon serum acts as what’s known as a photo enhancer. This amplifies the effect of the treatment, increasing its potency.
The carbon particles absorb debris and oils in the skin; then the laser beam is attracted to the blackness of the carbon. As the laser hits the carbon, the carbon explodes (gently!).
This explosion removes the outer layer of dead skin, sucking the dirt out of pores and promoting a glowing complexion.
You will be aware of a warm, slightly” prickly“ feeling in the treatment area, not at all painful just tingly. There is also some “noise” associated with the carbon removal and this is the lasers reaction to the carbon. Again, there is no pain involved, just a bit of noise. You can resume normal activities after your China Doll treatment.
*With all surgeries or procedures, there are risks. Consult your physician (GP) before undertaking any surgical or cosmetic procedure. Please read the consent forms carefully and be informed about every aspect of your treatment. Some surgeries have a mandatory seven-day cooling-off period to give patients adequate time to be sure of their surgery choice. Results may also vary from person to person due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics, diet and exercise. Before and after photos are only relevant to the patient in the photo and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Ask questions.
